1986 Eisenhower Lions Football Scholarship: The gift of learning
Reaching the state football championship game, a first in the history of Eisenhower athletics, was an achievement of a lifetime. Our teamís commitment to excellence on and off the field was remarkable. For many of us, it immediately provided us with the skills necessary to go on and graduate from college. To commemorate and permanently recognize our teamís accomplishment and to help pave a successful pathway for future student athletes who play football, we would like to embark on a scholarship campaign to raise a minimum of $20,000 to permanently award an annual partial tuition college scholarship to deserving seniors on the football team.
The 1986 Eisenhower Lions Football Scholarship will provide need and merit-based scholarships for deserving senior members of the football team going on to college to assist them with the cost of tuition. Contributions of all sizes to this fund are welcome and will help this endowment continue to grow. Raising the support necessary for this scholarship will have a tremendous impact on our school as a whole, on the individual students receiving the award, and on the future of helping the next generation of young students succeed in life.
Recognition for Contributors
A special plaque recognizing contributors of $500 or more will be permanently displayed on school grounds.
Ways of Giving
The simplest and most frequently used method of providing outright support for this scholarship is through tax-deductible gifts of cash or appreciated property.
Cash can be in the form of currency, personal check, credit card authorization, money order or bank draft and can be made as a one-time gift or multi-year pledge. Gifts of appreciated property can include any of the following that have appreciated in value: stocks, bonds or mutual funds.
Many contributors can multiply their support by making use of their employer's matching gift programs. To find out if your company participates in such a program, ask your HR department
To make a gift, please make it payable to the Eisenhower High School and earmark it for the 1986 Eisenhower Lions Football Scholarship. For more information on how to provide support, please contact Mitch Beckman at 319-530-3373.
