[197] Elizabeth was a woman of superior natural ability and
[198] earnest Christian faith and was a help meet for the sturdy
[199] Pilgram, John Howland. She passed the closing days of her
[200] life with her daughter Lydia Brown In Swanzey where she died
[201] according to the S wanzey town records at age 80. This
[202] proves she was but 13 when she arrived in Plymouth aboard
[203] the Mayflower. Elizabeth's will is dated at Swanzey, 17 Dec
[204] 1686 . "Being seventy nine years of age but of good and
[205] perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God and calling to Re-
[206] membrance ye uncertain Estate of this transitory life and
[207] that all flesh must yield unto death when it shall please
[208] God to call; Doe make, cons titute, ... and first being pen-
[209] itent and sorry from ye bottom of my heart for all my sinns
[210] past, most humbly desiring forgiveness for ye same, I give
[211] and commit my Soule unto Almighty God my Savior and Redeemer
[212] in whome and by ye merits of Jesus Churis t I trust and be-
[213] lieve assuredly to be saved and to full remission and for-
[214] giveness of all my sins and that my Soule when my body at
[215] the general Day of Resurrection shall rise again when Joy
[216] and through ye merits of Christ's Deathand passion possess
[217] an d inherit ye Kingdom of heaven prepared for his elector
[218] and chosen; and my body to be buried in such place where it
