Hi Jeff

I have been reading your files. It looks like all the Boswelter and
Boswetter individuals all were born in Germany and remained there,
except for Elsa "Oma". And you even had her husband Arno C listed as
never coming to USA. I was wondering when Elsa came to the USA. Also
her birth and death dates would be very helpful.

I cannot find any definite link between these folks and my family, but I
am just getting started. My great grandfather Otto Boesewetter came to
Wisconsin (Washington County) in about 1854 from Zwickau, Saxony,
Germany. So any relationships have to be on the German side of the
ocean.

Incidently the name Boesewetter means bad weather in German. In German,
the "oe" is replaced by an "o" with double dots over it. The e after
the s is sometimes omitted.

I am a little puzzeled as to why the Boswetter mutated to Boswelter in
your records. Do you have any idea as to where in Germany they were
from?
