Hi Dearborn's

I am writing this to the list instead of only to Linda because I am not
_absolutely_ sure of MY data and maybe some of you have a confirming
opinion.
Her text is preceded by > and my response to each line is preceded by **.

>I would appreciate any corrections to my information.

>Godfrey Dearborn (9-24-1603) m abt 1632 ??

** The 9-24-1603 is a christening date. Birthdate is about 1599. There must
be a story about the time delay between these two dates. Marriage 1 in 1629
to Lucy RICHARDSON yielding son, William. Marriage 2 in 1630 to "Miss
Goody" UNKNOWN. Wife's name is unknown but the seating plan for the Hampton
meeting house shows a pew assignment for "Goody Derborn". Goody was an
often-used short-hand for "Good wife" and is not a genuine given name. All
present Dearborn's descend from this marriage. Marriage 3 in 1662 to
Dorothy DALTON. No issue.

>Thomas Dearborn (11-01-1632) m 12-28-1665 Hannah Colcord (Abt.
>1643)

**Again, 11-1-1632 is a christening date.

>Ebenezer Dearborn (10-03-1679) m 10-07-1703 Abigail Sanborn
>(4-01-1686)

** I have an Lt and Dea after his surname.

>Ebenezer Dearborn (1-27-1704/05) m 1-13-1730/31 Huldah Nason

** My data ends here.

------- end of Carrie's list ----------------

I have a question and a comment. Carrie could answer via this list so that
everyone can benefit.

Question: What are the sources for generation I and II data?

Comment: I have been told that the spelling of the surname before Godfrey's
time was DEAREBARNE rather than DEAREBORNE as shown above. My authority is
personal communication with David Curtis Dearborn, staff librarian for the
New England Historic and Genealogical Society (NEHGS).

Comment: I have been told that the 1603 birth date (of Godfrey) is really a
baptism and he was born several years earlier... possibly 1599. Does anyone
have a source that has BOTH dates in the same document?

After my "signature" is a Register Report containing some notes that David
(source [74] ) sent me for Godfrey and his father.
