I am trying to locate the parents of my gg grandfather Henry C. Wilson. He was born in New York. Entered the Civil War in Dodge Co., Wisconsin. Married Sylvia Ann Gault in Lebanon, Dodge CO., WI. Recently I found a Henry Wilson married to a Polly who lived in that area in WI in 1860. Because a dtr Jane was living there who also had been born in NY and the ages all seem right, I believe this to be the family. I am unable to locate proof. Jane married a Carter. Henry and Sylvia had the following children: Frank, Abram E. (my Gr. grandfather), Freeman, Clara, George. Clara married a Harry Lea. If anyone has a connection to these people, I would appreciate hearing from you and am willing to share.

Abram W. Gault and Clarissa had farm land in 1847. Their daughter Sylvia Ann was born on March 10, 1847 in Lebanon. They also had two sons Frank and Edward A. Edward farmed in Dodge County for awhile also. Sylvia married Henry C. Wilson in 1863. Abram and Clarissa are listed in the 1850 and 1860 census. One of them may have passed away and remarried. Sylvia had a half sister named Ida who married Lester Rayner.

Researching a Wilson family that came from Jefferson County, New York. Henry C. Wilson married Sylvia Ann Gault in Lebanon, Dodge, WI in 1863. Also Henry volunteered for the Civil War in Dodge Co. in 1861. Their son Frank was born in Dodge Co. They also had Abram, George, Freeman (died young), and Clara M. who married Harry Lea. Henry had the following brothers and sisters Caroline, Jane, Dilos or DeLoss, Clark, Peter, Sarah, Lodema. Their parents were Freeman and Mirinda Wilson.

My gg grandmother, Sylvia A. Gault, was born in Lebanon, Dodge Co., WI in March 1842 to Abram W. Gault and Clarissa. In 1863 she married Henry C. Wilson in Dodge Co., WI. Their oldest child, Frank was born there in 1864. Recently I have located Henry with his sister Jane and Caroline, who were all born in New York, on an 1850 Census in Jefferson co., NY. Their parents are Truman (or Freeman) Wilson age 44 and Mirinda age 43. I am wondering if anyone is researching these people; if possibly the whole family moved to Dodge Co., WI or if only Henry did.
Also in 1861 Henry volunteered for the Civil War in Dodge CO. and entered it being discharged due to injuries in 1862-3.
